What is Hemi-Sync®

Hemi-Sync® (Hemispheric Synchronization) was created and patented by Robert Monroe over 50+ years ago and through brain mapping scans, show that it creates a “Whole Brain” state for the person. Hemi-Sync® has over 50 years of research and development, and is supported by numerous independent studies, reports, and articles. The patented Hemi-Sync® technology has been scientifically and clinically proven to be effective to help people in many areas of their personal development.

The Monroe Institute (TMI) was founded by Bob Monroe as a non-profit scientific research organization in the early 1970's to further the research and development of the Hemi-Sync® technology. Through the use of technology, education, research and development, The Monroe Institute (TMI) has been advancing the experience of individuals in the exploration of human consciousness for over 50 years.

Tens of thousands of people have attended the Institute’s residential and outreach programs, and millions have benefited from their educational materials.  TMI works with researchers and clinicians in many areas, especially through university and clinical collaborations, and also with our Professional Division members and Board of Advisors.

The Monroe Institute (TMI) Campuses

The main TMI campus is located within the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with other campus locations in Canada and around the world.

Residential programs at the Virginia Campus are conducted at the Nancy Penn Center and at Roberts Mountain Retreat. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, these facilities were constructed to maximize the effectiveness of the audio guidance process and provide a uniquely supportive environment for personal exploration. Specially designed CHEC units (Controlled Holistic Environmental Chambers) provide isolation from light and outside sounds. Participants relax in solitude and it is here the learning adventure begins.

TMI Winnipeg Local Chapter

TMI Winnipeg was started by Jason Cragg in 2013 after he became a Certified Outreach Trainer. Since then TMI Winnipeg has held numerous workshops and events all over Manitoba.
